After graduation, I attended UW-Oshkosh in the fall of 1964. After a slight hiatus for military service, I graduated from Oshkosh with a degree in Library Science in December, 1973. Early in 1974,1 became the Assistant Director at the Cudahy Public Library. In August of 1980, I received a Masters in Library Science and became the Director of the Franklin Public Library. I created a totally new library for a community of 16,000 residents. In July of 1993, I became the Director of the Whitefish Bay Public Library—again in the Milwaukee area. In April of 1999, I assumed the position of Administrator for the Lakeshores Library System serving Racine and Walworth Counties. I feel quite confident I will retire from this position in 2008 when our youngest, Aaron, graduates from college. Our oldest, Adam, is an officer in the Navy in Norfolk, Virginia, and will leave service in December of 2005. Trudi continues to enjoy being the Photo Coordinator for Reiman Publications (Taste of Home, anyone) in Greendale.
