Mary Bero Brodsky After
graduation, I went to NWTC receiving an associate degree in accounting. I
worked for the Algorna Record Herald until 1974 and then for the Fireside
Inn as bartender and cook. In 1975, I became a bookkeeper for a law firm
;n Green Bay. After a year, I went to work for the IRS as a secretary.
In 1977, I was promoted to Tax Auditor Manager in Milwaukee. In 1986, I
became an Internal Revenue Agent and in 1988, I transferred to Washington,
DC, as a National Office Program Analyst for seven years. I married Jack
Brodsky in 1989 in Wilmington, Delaware, and lived in Fairfax, Virginia. In
1995, I became an Internal Revenue Agent field group manager. I was
ultimately promoted to the job of Branch Chief in Milwaukee in 1999 until
retirement in 2001 after twenty five years with the IRS. We moved to
Wilmington, Delaware, in June of 2002. I work part-time as a file clerk for
a very busy eye surgeon's practice. Jack retired from the Internal Revenue
Service in 1995. He now works part-time for an undertaker driving the
hearse. We keep busy traveling, selling antiques, yard sales, and gardening.
