Lorna Detjen Ropson After graduation, I moved to Green Bay and attended Bellin School of Operating Room Technicians. Upon graduation in 1965, I proceeded to work at Bellin Hospital in the Surgery Unit until 1970. Dan and I were married in June of 1968. We built a new home west of Algoma in 1970 and began to raise our family. Between 1970 and 1976, I worked part-time at the Von Stiehl Winery giving tours. In 1976, I decided to go into retail and began work at Katch's Department Store for four years. The next seven years I was back in the medical field working at the Algoma Hospital, Dr. Timmerman from 1982 to 1983, Home Care Services from 1984 to 1986, and Dr. Schronk in 1987. In 1987, I was hired by WS Packaging Group, Inc., in the Customer Service Department. In 1997, we built a new home in Luxemburg. I am still working at WS Packaging Group, Inc. I have no retirement plans at this time, as I have to keep working so I can spoil my grandchildren. This brings us to June of 2004 and our 40th class reunion. |
