Gladys Dufek Nething
After graduation, I worked in a couple of factories for several years. I
married James Entringer in 1967, and we had two wonderful sons. My marriage
didn't work out, so I decided to go back to school and raise my sons at the
same time. I went to Two Rivers Technical College and got state certified as
a Nursing Assistant. I worked in a nursing home in Two Rivers for two years.
I loved it, and it was very rewarding. I then met Robert Nething, and we got
married in December, 1976. Two years later, our daughter was born. I stayed
at home a couple of years and in 1981, I decided to go back to work. I got a
job at the Northridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center. I worked there for
twenty-three years until my recent retirement because of health problems.
During those twenty-three years, my son Brian got cancer. I took care of him
at home . He has been in remission for ten years and is cancer free. I now
work out at the YMCA. I plan on doing volunteer work once my health
improves. I enjoy working with people and helping them. I love to cook, do
gardening, and travel. My life is fulfilled. |
