Jamie Hall Phanuchavas

After graduation, I worked at the Frosty-Tip in Dykesville for the summer. That fall I went to Kalamazoo College in Michigan. I had the good fortune of spending my junior year in Germany. Upon graduating, I taught school in the Kalamazoo area in special education. I then moved to Chicago, where I taught special education, and in 1977, I moved to California. Over the years, I have lived in L.A., San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, Pismo Beach, and San Diego. In 1979, I married John Phillips, and we divorced in 1995. For fourteen years I was a flight attendant for United Airlines. I loved the job, but in 2003 I retired. I married Noi Phanucharas in 2001. My favorite place out here was San Francisco. A piece of my heart will always be there. My sister, Lola, lived with me there for seven years. Now, my husband and I spend most of our time traveling between Marina Del Rey and Hawaii where we own a home. Eventually I see us living in Hawaii. I have had breast cancer, faced the uncertainties of 9/11, and feel blessed everyday with friends, family and opportunities that have come along.
