Alan Olson

After graduation, I began farming, worked in the shipyards as a finish welder, and worked in construction as a carpenter. I was married on August 21, 1965. We have two sons, Richard and Eric, and five grandchildren. Our sons are in partnership operating our dairy and grain farm. Carpentry skills I learned in the construction days were valuable in planning and completing a large addition to our church. Church council and choir are an important part of my life. My present position at church is deacon. Currently, I am restoring a 100 plus year old log house which is located next to our fishing pond. My hobbies are woodworking, hunting, and fishing. I enjoy fishing, watching wildlife, and playing games with my grandchildren. Arthritis from a back injury and Parkinson's Disease limit my activities, but I find plenty of projects to keep me busy.
