Mark Prust
After graduation, I worked as an apprentice sewing
machine mechanic at the Algoma Net Company until 1966. I then enlisted in
the U.S. Air Force. I had basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas
and technical training at _Lawry Air Force Base in Denver Colorado. I was
stationed at Duluth Air Force Base and Cannon Air Force Base for the balance
of my military service. I served in Vietnam from July, 1967, to July, 1968.
After discharge, I returned to employment at the Algoma Net Company until
October, 1978. I was married in 1972. I worked at Bay Shipbuilding
corporation in Sturgeon Bay through 1988. I again returned to the Algoma Net
Company until 1997. In 1995, I traveled to Shanghai, China, for the Algoma
Net Company. From April, 1997, till now, I have been employed at Dowco
Incorporated in Manitowoc as a part of the manufacturing department. I am
looking forward to retirement. I also managed the Towne Movie House in
Algoma until it closed in 1999.
