After graduation, I worked at Plumbers Woodworks in Algoma for two months. I
then took employment at Manitowoc Shipbuilding till October of 1965. I was
then drafted in the U.S. Army for two years. Upon discharge from the Army, I
bounced around for a couple of years at different jobs until July, 1971,
when I took an interest in the trucking industry. For the past 27 years I
have been with Schneider Transport in Green Bay, Wisconsin. In 1990,1 was
awarded the Million Miles Accident Free Driving Award. Retirement plans are
on hold for now since there was a recent dispute between the company and the
union. At this time, nothing has been settled. If things continue in the
right direction, I should receive the Two Million Miles Accident Free Award
by the end of this year. About all for now!!!!! |
