After graduation, I worked at a resort in Door County. The following fall, I
spent time at the Sturgeon Bay Shoe Factory. In January, 1965,1 went to
nursing school for one year and became an LPN. Emy Wiesner and I went to
nursing school together. After graduation, I worked in a surgery unit at St.
Mary's Hospital in Green Bay for a year and a half. Since I was dating Tony
at the time, who lived in Madison, Wisconsin, I decided to move there. I
first worked at Central Colony, and in 1968 I transferred to St. Mary's
Hospital in Madison, where I am still currently 'employed. Tony and I got
married that same year. In 1997 we adopted a beautiful little girl that we
named Amanda. In 1984, we adopted a cute little boy named Matthew. Tony and
I are now together alone, and enjoying it more and more all the time. Tony
is retired, but I am still working. Right now, I am only thinking about
retirement. |
