After graduation, 1 attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. In January, 1965,1 returned to Algoma and worked; various jobs. I got married in September, 1965. I enlisted in the U.S. Army in January, 1966. After one and a half j years of duty in Milwaukee and one and a half years in Germany, I returned to Wisconsin and lived in Green Bay. In January, 1969,1 began working at Team Electronics. In 1972,1 transferred to Omaha, Nebraska, where I managed three Team Electronics stores in the Omaha area. In 1978, we returned to Wisconsin and purchased a sixty acre dairy farm in the West DePere area. We continued farming until 1984. Just prior to that, we started Appletree, Ltd. in 1982. Appletree started as a furniture, appliance and electronics store. It continued as a very successful business :or twenty years. In November, 1999,1 started a more upscale furniture store, named Wenz Home Furniture. My wife, Jean, our two sons, Chris and Jesse, and myself are currently all involved in the daily operations of the business.
