After graduation, my family immediately moved to Sturgeon Bay where I worked as a nurse's aide until August. I then moved to Milwaukee. I can never thank Becky Granius enough for taking me in and helping me get on my feet. When the opportunity for an education presented itself, I grabbed it, and through Marquette University, I received my training at what is now Froedtert Hospital. I graduated in 1967 and began my job at the Two Rivers Municipal Hospital, where I still work after thirty six years. I married in 1968 and lived and worked in North Dakota for a short period. We bought a house in 1970, where we still live today. Our two children were born in 1977 and 1979. While they were growing up, I was very active as a volunteer, member of the school board, parish council, PTO, and youth wrestling. I later joined the "Lois Club". Of course, your name needs to be Lois to belong. We just finished putting together a "Lois Cookbook". As adoptive parents, we have been very fortunate to form a close family bond with the birth parents. I am a vivid reader, love to garden, be outside, and spend time at our cottage in Marinette County.____
