Remember the popular TV shows from 1953?  and the top 30 hits of 1953?

Life in a small town was simple and full of fun and our parents taught us well.  We learned at home and at school.  Here is a list of things my mother said to me at least once while  she was trying to teach me to become an adult.

Back in 1953, gasoline cost 20 cents a gallon, when you pulled up to the pumps one or two guys came out and checked your oil and your tires and cleaned your window.
